SCROLL DOWN

A Paradoxical Theory of Change

Available now on Fat Wreck Chords

MakeWar is about a fight.
It’s a fight against ignorance and hate.
A fight to do what you want instead of what you’re supposed to.
A fight to stay up when everything is pulling you down.
It’s fighting for the dreamers and drinking to the screamers.
Fighting off what’s holding you back.
That’s why MakeWar sounds like letting go.
So let’s fucking go!

MakeWar is Jose, Edwin, and Alejandro.

Welcome to our fight.

Bienvenidos a nuestra lucha.

The song "Tiger Lili" comes from MakeWar's album, "Developing A Theory Of Integrity". This song was originally premiered on BadSandwichChronicles.net, the blog that belongs to Red Scare's Brendan Kelly. He discovered the band in a snowstorm. (true story)
MakeWar's "Ode" is from their Red Scare debut, "Developing A Theory Of Integrity", out Fall of 2016. This video was lovingly cranked out on a Friday night and premiered by the kind souls at BrooklynVegan.com.
MakeWar's "Sallie" comes from their 10-song album, "Developing A Theory Of Integrity". The record is out October 2016 on Red Scare and the kind folks at Substream Magazine premiered this song/video. We reckon it's about student loans. Good work on the video, Edwin!

Get It Together is one of the most on-point, raging records to come out this year.
— ALTERNATIVE PRESS

Get it Together is a continuation of all the most important aspects of MakeWar. Their Latin American identity is put front and center, with two songs in Spanish sung by bassist Edwin. For my money, perspective is one of the most important attributes of great songwriting, and here, it’s put front and center.
— Carson Winter, DYING SCENE

Get It Together is 2019 punk rock through and through. It adds in elements from a very narrow spectrum of grunge and alternative rock that parallels a modern-day Fat Wreck sound. It builds on MakeWar’s previous efforts at every turn.
— Eric Rosso, PUNKNEWS.ORG

MakeWar are continuing to get better and better with every album they release. On Get It Together, MakeWar tackle a variety of different issues in the world – whether it be mental health, politics or just growing up and have made an album that will be relatable in some aspect for everyone.
— Colin Clark, Colinspunkrockworld

A strong contender for album of the year, this is everything I look for in a punk record
— Lorien Lamarr, THE BAD COPY
